Job summary

Lighthouse Care Center of Augusta, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a Mental Health Technician in Augusta, GA. You will join the Lighthouse Nursing Team to support patient-centric therapy and high-quality, cost-effective programming in line with regulatory standards.

The role includes observation rounds and collaboration on treatment plans, with opportunities for professional development in a 84-bed facility serving youths and adults with mental illness and related needs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or ability to obtain within first week.
• Must be able and willing to become certified in therapeutic restraint (Handle With Care).
• Experience working with children/adolescents with emotional disturbances or co-occurring disorders preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistants and Registered Behavioral Technicians are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Participate in treatment planning.
• Assist in the admission process.
• Orient new patients to the unit and their program.
• Plan and prepare for group therapy sessions.
• Maintain patient, program, department and related documentation.
