Job summary

Lighthouse Care Center of Augusta, part of Universal Health Services, seeks a Mental Health Technician to join the nursing team. You will contribute to patient-centered care, support treatment planning, and ensure high-quality, cost-effective programming in compliance with regulatory standards.

Ideal candidates have a human-services degree, CPR/First Aid, and a willingness to obtain Handle With Care certification; prior experience with youths and adolescents is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age; education in a human service field required.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or ability to obtain within first week of hire.
• Willingness to obtain Handle With Care certification.
• Experience with children/adolescents with emotional disturbance or co-occurring issues preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean record for at least three years.

Responsibilities

• Participate in treatment planning.
• Assist in the admission process.
• Orient new patients to the unit and program.
• Plan and prepare for group therapy sessions.
• Maintain patient, program and department documentation.
