Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Technician to work with children and adults in home and community settings.

You will collaborate with Board Certified Behavior Analysts to implement individualized treatment plans and help clients build communication, social, and daily living skills. The role involves traveling between client locations, coordinating data collection, and providing engaging, structured learning environments.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Reliable transportation
• Plus one of the following: college coursework in Psychology, Education, Social Work, Behavioral Science, Human Development, or related field
• OR at least one year of experience as a Behavior Technician, ABA Therapist, Behavioral Interventionist, Paraprofessional, Child Development Professional, Camp Counselor, or similar child-focused role

Responsibilities

• Provide one‑on‑one behavioral support
• Implement treatment plans developed by BCBAs
• Help clients build communication, social, and adaptive skills
• Support positive behavior development
• Record session data and client progress
• Create engaging and structured learning environments

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

College coursework in Psychology, Education, Social Work, Behavioral Science, Human Development, or a related field

Entry Level Pay Rate: $21 - $24 / per hour

Certified ( RBT / BCAT / ABAT ) Pay Rate: $25 - $29 / per hour
