Job summary

Universal Health Services, through Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System, seeks a Mental Health Technician to provide compassionate support to patients across treatment pathways. Work involves assisting licensed staff and addressing physical, social, and behavioral needs in a 140-bed inpatient setting.

Qualifications

• High School/GED is required.
• Experience in direct patient care is required.
• Nursing Assistant Training or psychiatric experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• The MHT provides routine non-acute physical, behavioral, and mental care to the patient on the milieu under the direction of licensed staff.
• Completes all required documentation clearly, showing understanding of patient goals and treatment plan.
• Responds to patient-specific factors and adapts to clinical interventions to meet individual goals.
• Maintains consistency across shift functions and during handoffs to ensure appropriate treatment for each patient.
• Fosters and assists in maintaining the unit’s therapeutic milieu.
