Job summary

Universal Health Services' Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System in Radcliff, KY, seeks a Mental Health Technician to support patients on inpatient units. You will work with licensed staff to address physical, social, and behavioral needs across adolescents, adults, and special populations.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
• Experience in direct patient care AND/OR.
• Completion of Nursing Assistant Training/previous psychiatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• The MHT provides routine non-acute physical, behavioral, and mental care to the patient on the milieu under the direction of licensed staff.
• Completes all required documentation in a clear, concise manner, showing understanding of patient goals and treatment plan.
• Responsive to patient specific factors and adapts to clinical intervention to fit individual patient need/goals.
• Maintains consistency throughout shift functions and through outgoing and oncoming shift report to ensure appropriate treatment is provided to each patient.
• Fosters and actively assists in maintaining unit's therapeutic milieu.
