Job summary

Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System, a 140-bed hospital, is seeking a Mental Health Technician to support patients along their treatment journey in a psychiatric setting. You will work with licensed staff to address physical, social, and behavioral needs while contributing to a safe, therapeutic milieu.

The role involves non-acute care duties, documentation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• Experience in direct patient care or nursing assistant training preferred.
• Psychiatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes all required documentation in a clear, concise manner, showing understanding of patient goals and treatment plan.
• Responsive to patient-specific factors and adapts to clinical intervention to fit individual patient needs and goals.
• Maintains consistency throughout shift functions and through outgoing and oncoming shift reports to ensure appropriate treatment is provided to each patient.
• Fosters and actively assists in maintaining unit’s therapeutic milieu.
