Universal Health Services's Arbour Hospital in Boston is seeking a Mental Health Associate to help maintain a safe, therapeutic milieu and support patient care in a psychiatric unit. You will collaborate with nurses and fellow MHAs to address daily needs and respond to crises with composure.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (Bachelor's preferred) and strong communication skills. Pursuit of a behavioral health-related degree is encouraged, with opportunities for professional growth

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Behavioral health, psychology, or human services students preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Impeccable judgment and professionalism.
• Ability to maintain composure in crisis situations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment
• Provide routine patient care as required in a psychiatric environment
• Document and communicate unusual or erratic changes in client behaviors
• Assist with patient groups and activities
• Work with culturally and generationally diverse populations to meet their individual needs
• Provide trauma informed and age-specific care
• Maintain therapeutic boundaries and utilize crisis intervention techniques
