Universal Health Services' Arbour Hospital in Boston seeks a dedicated Mental Health Associate to maintain a safe, therapeutic milieu and support patients and staff across the unit. You will work with UNMs, RNs and MHAs to uphold quality care and crisis readiness in a busy behavioral health setting.

Responsibilities include direct patient care in a psychiatric environment, documenting changes in patient behavior, leading groups, and delivering trauma-informed, age-appropriate care to diverse

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• College students pursuing behavioral health, psychology, or human services are preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Impeccable judgment and professionalism.
• Ability to maintain composure in crisis situations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.
• Provide routine patient care as required in a psychiatric environment.
• Document and communicate unusual or erratic changes in client behaviors.
• Assist with patient groups and activities.
• Work with culturally and generationally diverse populations to meet their individual needs.
• Provide trauma informed and age-specific care.
• Maintain therapeutic boundaries and utilize crisis intervention techniques.
