Micron Technology, a world leader in memory and storage solutions, seeks a System Architect to drive exploration, modeling, and analysis of innovative memory and storage subsystem architectures. You will collaborate across hardware, firmware, software, and design teams to identify bottlenecks and optimize power and performance.

The role emphasizes developing architectural breakthroughs, influencing product direction through deep technical analysis, and working on memory-centric computing systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Strong experience with computer architecture analysis, system-level design, and architectural tradeoff evaluation.
• Experience with large-scale server systems, including memory and storage subsystems.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming, including STL.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate innovative memory and storage subsystem architectures to improve system power and performance.
• Perform system-level modeling and simulation to compare new architectural concepts against existing solutions.
• Design models for controllers, memory devices, processors, interconnects, and related system components.
• Analyze application workloads and memory/storage access patterns to identify optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate across hardware, firmware, software, and architecture teams to assess tradeoffs and drive architectural decisions.
