Job summary

Avamere in Keizer, OR is seeking a dedicated caregiver to support residents in daily living, provide emotional companionship and help with mobility and safety. This PRN role emphasizes person-centered care in a memory care/assisted living setting.

The position requires CPR/First Aid and a Food Handler’s Card; EMR documentation experience preferred. Avamere offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, retirement, PTO, and education reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Prefer experience as a Caregiver in a Memory Care Unit or Assisted Living Facility.
• Must be able to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification during employment.
• Must be able to obtain a Food Handler’s Card.
• Experience in electronic medical records documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Support mobility and safe transfers for residents.
• Assist with meals and clean up, ensure a clean environment.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Monitor health changes and communicate concerns to supervisors.
• Maintain safety, orientation for new residents and staff as needed.
