Job summary

The Arbor at Avamere Court in Keizer, OR is seeking a full-time Caregiver to provide daily living support, emotional companionship, and safe, compassionate care for residents. You will assist with hygiene, mobility, meals, and housekeeping while monitoring health and well-being.

Responsibilities include responding to calls promptly, maintaining confidentiality, and supporting new resident orientation. Benefits are included for eligible staff; schedule is varied.

Qualifications

• Prefer memory care or assisted living caregiving experience.
• Must be CPR/First Aid certified.
• Must have Food Handler’s Card.
• Experience with electronic medical records documentation.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Friendly, attentive, professional demeanor with residents.

Responsibilities

• Personal Hygiene: assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Mobility Assistance: support with walking, transfers, and mobility aids.
• Meal Preparation: assist with setting up meals and trays.
• Emotional Support and Companionship: provide empathy, conversation, and social engagement.
• Housekeeping: maintain clean, safe environment including laundry and tidying.
• Health Monitoring and Medical Advocacy: observe health changes and report concerns; monitor vitals.
• Answer resident calls for assistance; maintain confidentiality and safety.
• Assist with orientation of new residents and staff; perform other duties as assigned.
