Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Valid state CNA certification or proof of proper training for non-certified applicants.
• 1–3 years experience in a senior care community or nursing home preferred.
• Good understanding of how Dementia and Alzheimer’s can affect behavior.
• Able to communicate effectively with management, associates, residents, families, and outside contacts.
• Passion to work with and around senior citizens.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) while maintaining dignity and respect.
• Provide quality care and assist residents in meeting physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
• Respond to resident calls in a timely manner and monitor changes in condition.
• Escort residents to meals and assist during dining as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and dining areas as directed.
• Follow safety guidelines and OSHA regulations in all tasks.
