Job summary

HarborChase of Plano is seeking a compassionate caregiver to support residents with daily living activities in a respectful environment. The role emphasizes safety, dignity, and holistic care, including physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

Candidates should have CNA training or be willing to obtain certification and bring 1–3 years of senior care experience. The position requires excellent communication with residents, families, and staff, and adherence to resident care plans.

Qualifications

• High school education is required; CNA certification preferred or valid state certification.
• 1–3 years experience in a senior care or nursing home setting is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, staff, residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Provides residents assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) while preserving dignity and respect.
• Assists residents in meeting physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
• Adheres to each resident’s Level of Care (LOC) and notifies supervisor of changes.
• Responds to resident calls in a timely manner and documents daily assignments.
• Escorts residents to meals and assists with dining according to individual needs.
• Maintains safe environment, practices proper body mechanics, and reports safety concerns.
