Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Non-Certification with proper training, or CNA certification.
• 1–3 years experience in a senior care community preferred.
• Understanding of dementia and Alzheimer’s behavior.
• Ability to communicate with management, residents and families.
• Passion for working with seniors.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care and respect resident rights.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Respond to resident calls promptly and follow care plan.
• Escort residents to meals and assist during dining.
• Document daily assignments and observations.
• Maintain room cleanliness and personal laundry as directed.
• Follow safety guidelines and proper body mechanics.
• Report changes in resident condition to supervisor.
• Foster relationships with residents and families.
