Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to read, write, understand and communicate in English with residents.
• Positive, energetic attitude and love for residents.
• Computer skills to print documents and enter resident information.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, kneel and stoop throughout the shift.
• Able to repeatedly lift/move up to 50 pounds.
• Able to assist residents after a fall.
• Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

• Advocate empathy and build human connections with residents.
• Act as a Patient Observer to learn residents' interests and needs.
• Create engagement plans and implement strategies.
• Set the stage for a positive daily routine (mise en scène).
• Partner with residents to support daily life from wake to sleep.
• Document resident care and changes in condition.
• Assist orientation of memory care team members.
