Job summary

Ovation by Avamere is seeking a Medication Tech to administer medications and provide direct care in a memory care environment at Ovation Sienna Hills, 1525 East Ovation Place, Washington, UT 84780.

The role includes passing meds, documenting in the EMR, coordinating with the RN, and maintaining a safe, organized medication area. Shifts include Day, Evening and Nights in Washington, UT.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Caregiver and Medication Tech in Memory Care or Assisted Living.
• Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid certification.
• Ability to obtain a Food Handler's Card.
• Experience in electronic medical records documentation.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Pass medications according to physician orders and facility policy.
• Administer medications accurately and timely.
• Record medications administered in the resident's record.
• Notify pharmacy or family when medications need refills.
• Maintain a clean and organized medication cart and room.
• Monitor and report side effects to the Director of Health Services.
• Follow care plans related to medication administration.
