Job summary

Avamere Living Seaside is seeking a Medication Tech for the NOC shift (10pm-6am) with weekend availability. The role administers medications, provides direct care to residents, and supports nursing staff in a memory care/assisted living setting.

Responsibilities include med pass under RN supervision, EMR documentation, and collaboration with healthcare providers to ensure resident safety and well-being.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Caregiver and Medication Tech in memory care or assisted living.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification during employment.
• Ability to obtain a Food Handler's Card.
• Experience in electronic medical records documentation.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor with residents and guests.
• Desire to improve the quality of life for seniors.
• Create warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and a calm, cheerful environment.

Responsibilities

• Pass medications according to physician orders under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Administer medications accurately and timely; record in resident records.
• Notify pharmacy when refills are needed; communicate with families when applicable.
• Maintain a clean medication cart and medication room.
• Monitor and report side effects to the Director of Health Services.
• Document changes in residents' status in the EMR.
• Assist with medical appointments and advocate for residents’ needs.
• Follow care plans and ensure safety of residents.
