Job summary

Ovation by Avamere in Washington, UT seeks a dedicated Medication Tech to administer medications and provide direct care for residents in a memory care/assisted living setting. You will follow physician orders, document in the EMR, and coordinate with nursing staff and families.

Responsibilities include maintaining the medication cart, reporting side effects, supporting care plans, and assisting with appointments.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Caregiver or Medication Tech in memory care or assisted living.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification during employment.
• Experience with electronic medical records documentation.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Friendly, attentive and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Pass medications according to physician orders and facility policy.
• Administer accurately and timely and record in resident records.
• Notify pharmacy or family when meds need refilling.
• Maintain a clean medication cart and room.
• Monitor side effects and report to Health Services.
• Follow care plans and assist with medical appointments.
• Observe residents for health changes and monitor vital signs.
• Document changes in EMR and complete incident reports as needed.
• Perform delegated nursing tasks as assigned by the RN.
