Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Med Tech to provide quality care to residents and assist with prescribed medications within scope. The role requires CNA and Med Tech licenses, medication training, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

The candidate will support residents with daily living activities, maintain detailed documentation in EMAR/MAR, and participate in ongoing training and audits to ensure safe medication practices and resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have completed the Medication Aide Course.
• Must possess both current CNA and Med Tech licenses from the State Board of Nursing in good standing.
• Must satisfactorily pass 2 medication observations annually.
• Must satisfactorily pass all medication cart audits assigned.
• Must attend 4 additional hours of medication administration education annually.
• Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel.
• Must be willing to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administration of prescribed medications within scope of practice.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable policies and procedures.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Report incidents and resident status to appropriate personnel.
• Perform housekeeping duties and keep areas clean as directed.
• Respond promptly to resident calls and emergencies.
• Assist in planning and conducting resident activity programs.
• Document all medication administration in EMAR/MAR and Daily Log.
• Re-order medications and communicate changes to pharmacy and families as needed.
• Other duties as assigned
