Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Charleston, SC is seeking a Med Tech to provide quality resident care, assist with daily living activities, and administer medications within scope. You will maintain accurate EMAR/MAR documentation and communicate resident status to the health care team.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, current CNA and Med Tech licenses, completion of Medication Aide Course, and the ability to pass medication observations and cart audits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must complete Medication Aide Course.
• Must have CNA and Med Tech licenses in good standing.
• Must pass medication observations annually.
• Must pass all medication cart audits.
• Attend 4 hours of medication education annually.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Able to work with all staff and residents.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with transfers.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care and assist with activities of daily living for residents.
• Assist with administration of prescribed medications within scope of practice.
• Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures pertaining to the position.
• Report incidents and care concerns to appropriate individuals.
• Perform housekeeping duties as directed by supervisor.
• Respond promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergencies.
• Assist in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Document medication administration in EMAR/MAR and Daily Log.
