Job summary

Senior Lifestyle in Gorham, Maine, is seeking a compassionate Medication Technician to safely administer prescribed meds and assist residents with ADLs in memory care settings. You will document care, monitor vitals, and collaborate with licensed staff to ensure compliance with MAR/TAR and regulatory guidelines.

A high school diploma and state certification are required; experience in senior living is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; related experience considered.
• 1+ months of experience; Senior Living experience preferred.
• Current Medication Technician certification per state regulations.
• English proficiency to communicate with staff and emergencies; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise self-administered medication for Memory Care per MAR/TAR and guidelines.
• Count and sign narcotics with approved personnel before medication keys and report discrepancies.
• Order medications from pharmacy or notify responsible party when supply is <7 days.
• Notify supervisor when supply is low and medicine hasn’t been received.
• Verify MARs are current and report discrepancies to pharmacy/DH&W.
• Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, incontinence care, and eating.
• Document information in daily log and monitor vitals, temperatures, and weights.
• Attend staff trainings and maintain medical charts within 48 hours as required.
