Job summary

Senior Lifestyle is seeking a Part-Time Medication Technician in Gorham, ME to supervise self-administered medications for Memory Care and ensure compliance with Federal & State regulations and company guidelines as directed by the LPN/LVN/RN.

You will handle narcotic counts, order medications, maintain MAR accuracy, store meds properly, perform daily charting, assist residents with personal care, monitor vital signs, and participate in staff trainings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1+ month of experience in senior living preferred.
• Medication Technician certification per state regulations.
• English proficiency to perform duties and communicate with staff and residents.
• Basic computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Supervise self-administered medications for Memory Care under supervision directives.
• Count and sign narcotics with approved personnel before keys are issued.
• Order medications and notify if supply falls below 7 days.
• Notify supervisor if supply is <2 days without receipt.
• Verify MARs match new MARs at changeover and report discrepancies.
• Store medications and related items separately from oral meds.
• Document information in daily logs and communicate concerns.
• Provide personal care and general nursing tasks as assigned.
• Daily and weekly cleaning of medication carts and restocking.
• Attend trainings and maintain accurate medical charts for admissions.
