Job summary

Atria Senior Living is seeking a Life Guidance Director in a Massachusetts community. You will lead dementia-focused programming, supervise LG staff, manage scheduling and performance, and coordinate with the Support Center to implement resident-centered activities.

You will also oversee budgeting for the Life Guidance Program, conduct ongoing staff training, and engage with families while promoting referrals and community engagement. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Two to four years of experience caring for people with dementia and program development in a manager role.
• Knowledge of dementia disease processes and adaptive strategies to support residents.
• Experience leading family and caregiver support programs.
• Experience performing budget analysis and supervising staff.
• Strong verbal and written communication, good computer skills, and driving capability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive and energetic environment for residents with dementia.
• Supervise LG staff, schedule shifts, recruit, hire, and provide performance feedback.
• Organize daily Life Guidance programs and coordinate with Support Center for options.
• Ensure new hires complete orientation timely and lead staff training.
• Manage budgets for the Life Guidance Program using the virtual checkbook.
• Support residents' families and act as dementia care expert to promote referrals and tours.
