Atria Senior Living - Marland Place in Andover, MA is seeking a dedicated Life Guidance activities coordinator. The role leads Life Guidance programs and develops service plans to provide engaging activities for residents in a supportive environment.

You will plan and supervise daily activities, celebrate resident milestones, and collaborate with staff to ensure participation and satisfaction while promoting a healthy work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of recreational therapy methods and applying them to activity and leisure needs of residents with Alzheimer’s/Dementia.
• Must have current state regulations-based certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead Life Guidance programs and develop service plans.
• Provide diverse recreational activities with supervision for each activity.
• Involve Life Guidance staff in planning daily programs including activities of daily living.
• Plan individual birthday celebrations for each resident.
• Develop programs for residents including those confined to rooms.
• Engage residents and motivate participation in activities.
• Greet new residents and help integrate them into the community.
• Plan parties/events and decorate the community for holidays.
• Support census-building initiatives within the community.
• Maintain records of activities and resident participation as required by state law.
• Coordinate with volunteers to support activity programs.
