Job summary

Atria Senior Living is seeking a Life Guidance Director to lead the dementia care program within our community. You will manage clinical and non-clinical Life Guidance staff, schedule and supervise activities, and ensure programs run 24/7 with proper training and coordination with other departments.

We value experienced leaders with strong communication, budget oversight, and a passion for resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Social Services, Behavioral Health, Therapeutic Recreation, Nursing, or a related field is required.
• Two to four years of dementia care experience and experience leading activity programs, preferably as a manager.
• Knowledge of dementia disease processes and adaptive strategies to support residents.
• Experience facilitating family and caregiver support programs.
• Experience in budget analysis, review, and control.
• Past supervision of staff and staff development.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and virtual meetings.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to drive (company or personal vehicle).

Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive and energetic environment for residents with dementia.
• Supervise Life Guidance staff including scheduling, performance reviews, and coaching.
• Organize daily Life Guidance program activities and seven-day coverage.
• Ensure new hire orientation is completed within required timeframes.
• Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical leaders on resident programming and care.
• Partner with Culinary Services to support dining and snacks.
• Deliver trainings and monthly director meetings.
• Support resident families and coordinate with Engage Life on programming.
