Job summary

Oakmont Management Group is seeking a Memory Care Director at Ivy Park at Rockville to lead a comprehensive dementia-care program, drive a high-quality resident experience, and mentor a skilled memory care team in a California-based community.

You will oversee staffing, safety, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with health services to support residents’ independence and meaningful daily activities.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
• Two years of experience with persons with dementia preferred.
• One year of experience supervising and managing employees preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Gerontology, Psychology, Sociology, or related field or 3+ years in social services or related setting preferred.
• Residential Care Facility for the Elderly administrator license may be required.
• Certifications in dementia care such as CDP, CAC, CAE, CDCM or Montessori dementia care may be required or preferred.
• Ability to obtain/maintain CPR, First Aid, and a Food Handler’s certification.
• Criminal background check and health screening may be required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and secure environment for team members, residents, and guests.
• Ensures compliance with state regulations for memory care (Title 22).
• Manages recruiting, hires, onboards, trains, motivates, and retains memory care staff.
• Schedules memory care staffing per standards and resident needs.
• Communicates effectively with residents, families, visitors, and staff.
• Supports resident participation in activities and dining, coordinating with Culinary team on nutrition needs.
• Provides input on pre-admission assessments and reassessments.
• Coordinates incidental care with health services and external providers.
• Builds partnerships with physicians, discharge planners and state agencies as needed.
