Oakmont Management Group in Irvine, CA, oversees a Memory Care Director role at the Ivy Park community in Milpitas. The director leads a Whole living dementia care approach, partners with health services, and ensures personalized care plans that maximize resident independence and well-being.

Responsibilities include safe environment, staffing coordination, activity and dining program oversight, and collaboration with physicians and regulators to exceed service plans for residents.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
• Prefer two (2) years of experience working with persons with dementia.
• Prefer one (1) year of experience supervising and managing employees.
• Preferred BA/S in Gerontology, psychology, sociology, or related field or at least 3 years working in social services, residential care, psychiatric facility, or related setting.
• A Residential Care Facility for the Elderly administrators’ license may be required.
• Hold or able to obtain one or more certifications related to Dementia care; such as CDP, CAC, CAE, CDCM, etc.
• Able to obtain and maintain valid first aid and CPR certification.
• Able to obtain and maintain a valid Food Handler’s certification.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests.
• Vaccination and PPE per regulatory guidelines.

Responsabilités

• Maintains a safe and secure environment for all team members, residents, and guests.
• Ensures compliance with all state regulations concerning the memory care department.
• Maintains recruiting of all memory care positions; interviews, hires, onboards, trains, motivates, and retains staff.
• Coordinates departmental schedule to ensure adequate staffing per company standards.
• Communicates effectively with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Supports resident participation in activities and ensures a dynamic activities program.
• Supports dining and collaborates with Culinary team to meet nutrition needs.
• Provides input on pre-admission assessments and reassessments.
• Coordinates incidental medical, dental, vision, hearing, and podiatry care for residents.
• Partners with healthcare professionals on care needs.
