Job summary

Oakmont Management Group seeks a Memory Care Director for The Ivy Thornton, a premier senior living community in Colorado. This role leads a holistic dementia care program, partnering with residents to maximize independence and quality of life, while ensuring excellent service delivery and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in gerontology, psychology, sociology, or a related field.
• Experience supervising and coordinating a dementia care program is preferred.
• Residential care or senior living administrative experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and secure environment for residents, team members, and guests following safety standards.
• Ensures compliance with state regulations governing memory care (Title 22).
• Recruits memory care staff: interviews, hires, onboarding, training, retention.
• Manages staffing schedules per company standards and resident needs.
• Communicates effectively with residents, families, visitors, and staff.
• Supports resident participation in activities and dining; coordinates with Culinary team.
• Coordinates pre-admission assessments and ongoing health-related coordination with Health Services Director.
• Collaborates with physicians, discharge planners, nurses, and state agencies on resident care needs.

Education

BA/S in Gerontology, psychology, sociology, or related field
