Job summary

Oakmont Management Group is seeking a Memory Care Director for the Ivy Park at Rockville in California. The director will lead a Whole Living dementia care approach, partnering with residents to maximize independence and quality of life.

The role oversees memory care services, activities, and dining delivery across the Traditions neighborhood, collaborating with culinary and health services to craft personalized care plans and strong outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
• Prefer two (2) years of experience working with persons with dementia.
• Prefer one (1) year of experience supervising and managing employees.
• Residential Care Facility for the Elderly administrator license may be required.
• Hold or obtain one or more certifications related to Dementia care (CDP, CAC, CAE, CDCM, Montessori Dementia Care Professional, etc.).
• Able to obtain and maintain valid first aid and CPR certification.
• Able to obtain and maintain a valid Food Handler’s certification.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• Vaccination requirements may be requested per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and secure environment for all team members, residents, and guests.
• Ensures compliance with state regulations concerning memory care (Title 22).
• Maintains recruitment of all memory care positions; conducts interviews, hires, onboards, trains, and retains staff.
• Coordinates departmental schedule to ensure adequate staffing.
• Communicates effectively with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Supports resident participation in activities and dining with a nourishing culinary program.
• Provides input to Health Services Director regarding assessments and reassessments.
• Coordinates medical, dental, vision, hearing, and podiatry care; arranges resident escorts as needed.
• Partners with healthcare professionals on care needs of residents.
