Job summary

Avamere Skilled Advisors, LLC d/b/a Avamere Living in Sandy, OR is seeking a part-time on-call Server for memory care, assisted living, and independent living settings. You will take orders, serve meals, and ensure a pleasant dining experience for residents.

The role emphasizes friendly, professional service, adherence to safety standards, and teamwork with kitchen staff. Weekend availability is often required, and attitude toward residents' dignity is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience with high standards of food safety and sanitation.
• Maintain high personal hygiene and hair restraints while working.
• Able to obtain CPR/First Aid certification during employment.
• Must have current Food Handlers card issued by local Health Department.
• Knowledge of dietary practices and procedures in hospital or nursing home settings.
• Friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor with residents and guests.

Responsibilities

• Accurately recording and delivering meal and beverage orders from residents.
• Promptly and courteously delivering food and beverages to residents, ensuring attractive presentation.
• Provide attentive and friendly service, check residents' needs during meals, address requests or concerns.
• Assist with setting up the dining room before meals and maintaining cleanliness during service.
• Clear tables after meals and reset them for the next service.
• Take and deliver room service orders to residents’ apartments.
• Be familiar with the menu and able to answer questions about food and dietary needs.
• Interact with residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Follow all food safety and hygiene procedures, including storage and sanitation.
• Collaborate with wait staff and kitchen staff for smooth service.
• Dispose of food and waste per established policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
