Qualifications

• Must have a high school education.
• Possession of or willingness to obtain C.N.A. certification.
• 1–3 years experience in a senior care setting preferred.
• Understanding of dementia and Alzheimer's impacts behavior.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide residents with assistance for Activities of Daily Living (ADL)
• Support residents' physical, emotional and spiritual needs
• Adhere to resident Level of Care (LOC) and notify supervisor of changes
• Respond promptly to resident calls and assist with meals and dining routines
• Check residents every two hours and document findings
• Escort residents to meals and assist with dining needs
• Maintain clean and tidy resident rooms and assist with laundry as directed
• Follow safety guidelines and proper body mechanics
• Support Safe Return or fire evacuation procedures as required
