Job summary

Americare Senior Living is seeking a compassionate Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to support residents in Memory Care communities in Missouri. You will administer medications under supervision, assist with daily living activities, and help maintain a safe, home-like environment for memory-impaired residents.

You will work as part of an interdisciplinary care team, focusing on safety, dignity, and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Certified Medication Aide / Med Level One course with certification in Missouri.
• Willingness to complete Med Level One training at the community, if applicable.
• Active certification maintained in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications under supervision of licensed staff per Missouri regulations.
• Verify resident identity before medication administration and document dosage, time, and observations.
• Monitor residents for medication responses and report adverse reactions or concerns.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including personal hygiene, meals, and mobility.
• Observe, record, and report resident care, conditions, concerns, and intake/output.
• Recognize and report changes in resident condition to charge staff.
• Complete admission, discharge, and transfer documentation as required.
• Support coworkers by providing assistance as needed.
• Perform housekeeping duties in resident rooms and common areas.
• Greet visitors and assist with tours of the community.
