Atria Senior Living is seeking a Memory Care Activity Specialist at our Briarcliff Manor community to lead engaging life guidance activities for residents. The role emphasizes planning, implementing, and supervising a variety of recreational programs tailored to memory care needs.

Candidate will coordinate birthday celebrations, involve staff, and ensure activities align with state regulations while maintaining a supportive, resident-centered environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–2 years experience with adults in activity development/implementation
• Working knowledge of recreational therapy methods and their application to residents with Alzheimer’s/Dementia
• Required state certifications depending on regulations
• Able to work various schedules and shifts as needed

Responsibilities

• Lead Life Guidance programs and develop service plans.
• Provide diverse recreational activities with adequate supervision.
• Involve Life Guidance staff in planning daily programs and activities of daily living.
• Plan birthday celebrations for each resident.
