Job summary

Atria Senior Living in Davis, CA is seeking a Memory Care Activity Specialist to lead Life Guidance programs and deliver engaging activities for residents. You will plan celebrations, coordinate daily activities, and work with staff to support resident well-being, safety, and participation.

A high school diploma or GED and experience with adult activities are preferred; state certifications may apply. Benefits include holidays, PTO, health/dental/vision, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 1-2 years of adult activity experience.
• Knowledge of recreational therapy methods and resident activities.

Responsibilities

• Leads Life Guidance programs and develops service plans.
• Offers diverse recreational activities with appropriate supervision.
• Involves Life Guidance staff in daily programming.
• Plans resident birthday celebrations.
• Develops programs for residents, including those confined to rooms.
• Engages residents to encourage participation.
• Greets new residents and introduces them to peers.
• Plans monthly celebrations and seasonal decorating.
• Supports census-building initiatives.
• Maintains records of activities and participation as required by state law.
• Enlists volunteers to aid the activities program.
