Job summary

YMCA of Honolulu is seeking a proactive Membership Coordinator to support membership strategies, assist with sales, member services, and retention at the Welcome Center and Child Watch. In collaboration with the Membership Director, you will help grow and retain our membership, deliver exceptional service, and support wellness programs and community events across the branches.

This role requires strong communication, organization, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to pass CPR, First Aid, AED certifications, and other mandatory training.
• TB test required.
• Required completion of YMCA's mandatory training modules for program staff within required timeframes and current upkeep of mandatory certifications required.
• 2 years minimum experience working in membership, sales, and/or customer service related activities.

Responsibilities

• Assists with membership sales, member service, and member retention strategies.
• Supports daily operations of the Membership Department, including the Welcome Center and Child Watch.
• Delivers an exemplary membership experience and supports long‑term relationship development and retention.
• Leads development, growth, and retention of membership and wellness programs; executes programs and events.
• Works under the supervision of the Director of Membership & Healthy Living to provide quality service and communication to members.
