Qualifications

  • Willingness to cross-train with other staff within same position grade.

Responsibilities

  • Enter member and other data and process information in accordance with Association policies.
  • Provide customer service to members and callers.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and make adjustments according to policies.
  • Create and/or maintain documentation via paper and electronic filing systems.
  • Initiate contact for reconciling local accounts.
  • Review and proofread data; note errors or discrepancies; initiate corrective action.
  • Perform duties via phone and through various software applications.
  • Provide support for organizing plans and practices for engaging members.
  • Maintain confidential records and files.
  • Operate in a collaborative team environment.
  • Communicate information to managers, coworkers and others in person, by telephone, in written form or e-mail.
  • Attend staff meetings and trainings.
  • Provide input into decision-making as it impacts associate staff functions.
  • Assist with development of written documentation for process improvements and training manuals.
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations.

Salary Range: $46,000.00 To $54,000.00 Annually

OEA members provide a wide range of professional education services in communities throughout the state.

The Ohio Education Association is seeking a person for a challenging and rewarding position as a Membership Specialist. The Membership Specialist is a critical role in the organization responsible for providing concierge-level customer service to our members, reconciling, and processing membership data, gathering membership information, ensuring data accuracy, and maintaining documentation.

Essential Functions:
  • Uses current computer software applications and equipment to enter member and other data and process information in accordance with Association policies and procedures
