Job summary

Chime Engineering is seeking engineers to join the Membership team, building features across the full stack to deepen member engagement and retention. You will own projects end-to-end, from architecture decisions to polished UI and API design in the membership experience.

Design, develop, test, and scale features powering membership benefits and engagements, and collaborate with product, design, data science, and stakeholders to run experiments and measure impact.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software development experience in production at scale.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails or comparable frameworks.
• Familiarity with modern front-end tech such as React, React Native, or TypeScript-based frameworks.
• Product-minded with bias toward experimentation and measuring impact.
• Collaborative, with strong cross-functional communication.
• Experience with transactional DBs, caching, and API design.
• Willing to learn across the stack and adapt to new technologies.
• Experience with experimentation frameworks and data-driven product development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and scale features across backend services and front-end surfaces powering membership benefits.
• Build and iterate APIs and UI components for a seamless member experience in Chime's mobile app.
• Partner with product, design, data science, and other stakeholders to define experiments and ship impact-driven solutions.
• Apply a metrics-driven mindset to prioritize work based on member and business impact.
• Own projects end-to-end from architecture and design to deployment.
