Chime Engineering is seeking engineers for the Membership team to own features end-to-end, from architecture and APIs to polished frontend experiences. You’ll work across the full stack to deepen member engagement and retention within Chime’s membership experience.

The role requires at least 2+ years in production software, plus experience with Ruby on Rails and modern frontend tech. You’ll collaborate with product, design, and data science to move key membership metrics and learn new

Qualifications

• 2+ years developing software in a production environment at scale.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails or comparable frameworks.
• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies (React/React Native/TypeScript).
• Product mindset with bias toward experimentation and measuring impact.
• Collaborative spirit with strong cross-functional communication.
• Experience with transactional databases, caching, and API design.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and scale features across backend services and front-end surfaces for membership benefits and engagement.
• Build and iterate on APIs and UI components for the mobile app.
• Collaborate with product, design, data science, and cross-functional teams to define experiments and ship solutions.
• Apply a metrics-driven approach to prioritize work based on member and business impact.
