Job summary

The Stamford Jewish Community Center is seeking a proactive Membership Specialist to grow memberships, engage current members, and supervise front desk staff at the Stamford location. You will drive tours, close memberships, and manage retention efforts while collaborating with program teams to convert families from camps and activities into members.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to meet and exceed sales goals in a membership environment.
• Proficiency with CRM or membership databases and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Generate leads, give tours and sell new memberships.
• Onboard new members and run renewal and retention outreach.
• Supervise front desk staff onsite, including daily assignments, schedule coverage, training and coaching.
• Make recommendations on hiring, scheduling and performance for front desk staff.
• Resolve member concerns and escalations.
• Cover the welcome desk during absences and peak periods.
