Job summary

In-Shape Fitness is seeking a Membership Lead to join our club leadership team and drive sales, member satisfaction, and efficient operations. You will oversee guest experiences, guide new member onboarding, and support retention across the member lifecycle.

Responsibilities include leading sales efforts, coaching staff, managing events, and ensuring a clean, safe club environment. This role emphasizes profitability and exceptional member service in a dynamic gym setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college degree in business, retail or hospitality desired
• Passion for helping others achieve their goals
• Prior supervisory experience in a service industry preferred
• Knowledge of fitness including equipment, personal training, and group fitness
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Risk management oriented
• Flexible/positive attitude in meeting and exceeding members’ expectations
• Excellent communication skills, work well under pressure and time constraints and displays positive behavior in all member contacts
• Excellent task completion and follow-through skills and ability to maintain focus in a sometimes hectic and evolving environment
• Attend and participate in required meetings and trainings as needed
• Ability to travel occasionally for company meetings and based on business needs
• Willing and able to work a flexible shift: evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Bilingual skills a plus
• CPR/AED certification required within first 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed sales targets through lead follow-up and tours
• Identify upsell opportunities to drive ancillary revenue
• Train team to improve sales performance and conversions
• Collaborate with GM to set and achieve sales goals
• Foster a sales-oriented culture focused on member experience
• Maintain high cleanliness and safety standards
• Support membership events and promotional programs
• Lead club operations to meet member expectations
• Coach and mentor team members on sales skills
• Assist GM with scheduling and coverage needs
