The American Academy of Arts & Sciences seeks a Membership Engagement Manager to create and implement membership engagement initiatives. The Manager works with members and staff to develop, implement, and assess activities that increase opportunities for connection and involvement with the Academy.

The Manager reports to the Director of Membership Engagement and is part of the Membership Engagement and Events team, based in Cambridge, MA. Hybrid work, <10% travel, evenings may be required.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in communications, member or volunteer engagement, project management, development, and/or event planning.
• Excellent writing skills and ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong planning, organizational, and time management abilities; attention to detail.
• Ability to design and execute engagement initiatives, reports and metrics.
• Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and office productivity tools.

Responsabilités

• Maintain and advance relationships with Academy members; plan meetings, events, and activities.
• Staff local committees and activities, recruit chairs, structure meetings, and document best practices.
• Develop and execute virtual, in-person, and hybrid events including the Annual Induction Ceremony; manage content and outreach.
• Draft remarks for the President and other leaders; prepare correspondence, briefing materials, and reports.
• Contribute content for digital/print publications and the Academy website.
• Track engagement activities, gather data, generate metrics and reports for growth opportunities.
