Job summary

The American Academy of Arts and Sciences seeks a Membership Engagement Manager to create and implement engagement initiatives. This full-time role is based in Cambridge, MA, with hybrid work flexibility.

You will work with members and staff to increase opportunities for connection and involvement, staff local committees, plan events, draft remarks, and analyze engagement metrics to drive growth.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of relevant experience in communications, member or volunteer engagement, project management, development, and/or event planning.
• Excellent writing skills are required.
• Ability to build relationships with a wide range of constituents and work collaboratively in a team.
• Ability to develop plans and strategy with project management and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Knowledge of CRM software (Salesforce) and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and advance relationships with Academy members and plan meetings, events, and activities.
• Staff Local Committees and Activities in communities where members live and work.
• Contribute to design and execution of virtual, in-person, and hybrid events, including the Annual Induction Ceremony.
• Develop, draft, and edit remarks for the President and other members.
• Propose content for digital and print publications and the website.
• Track engagement activities, analyze data, and produce metrics and reports.
• Integrate diverse perspectives into programming and activities.
