Job summary

Premera Blue Cross is seeking a Membership Specialist II to perform moderate to complex reconciliation analysis and enrollment/billing support. You will resolve enrollment, billing, and account discrepancies, working with Access and Excel tools to ensure accurate records and timely problem resolution.

Ideal candidates bring accounting experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to educate members and brokers on processes while meeting departmental metrics and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of accounting/finance/bookkeeping experience or an Associate’s Degree.
• One year of prior reconciliation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify, resolve, and document complex reconciliation discrepancies independently.
• Process refunds, transfers of premiums, reinstatements, and insufficient fund issues.
• Maintain accurate notes and enrollment changes; handle complex billing issues.
• Use Access/Excel reports to update eligibility and enrollment data.
• Educate members, brokers, and groups on membership and billing processes.
• Respond promptly to inquiries and ensure compliance with regulations.
