Qualifications

• Previous customer service, sales or related experience.
• CPR/AED and First Aid Certifications required within 30 days of hire.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Highly attentive to detail.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
• Basic knowledge of computers.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to members and guests in person and by phone; maintain lobby cleanliness and organization.
• Conduct interviews and tours for prospective members; sell memberships.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with volunteers and members; help members connect with one another.
• Welcome, connect with, and support members; invite them to get involved and give back to the community.
• Handle and resolve membership concerns; inform supervisor of unusual situations or unresolved issues.
• Apply all YMCA policies related to member services.
