Job summary

The YMCA seeks a friendly, service-oriented team member to welcome and assist guests, handle membership sales, tours, phone inquiries, and registration, while managing payments and towels. The role includes inputting data and maintaining a clean, safe facility.

Candidates must be CPR/AED/First Aid certified, be 18+, and demonstrate strong communication and clerical accuracy. Training is provided; celebrate community, teamwork, and exceptional member service.

Qualifications

Must be CPR/First Aid certified (training provided by the Y, if needed).
Must be 18 years or older.
Strong verbal interpersonal and communication skills in a service environment.
Ability to lift 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

Provide member services including membership sales, tours and program information.
Answer phones and direct calls; register guests and process payments.
Input data into computer; issue membership cards and receipts.
Schedule appointments; manage lockers and towels.
Serve as liaison between members and program staff; resolve inquiries and complaints.
Monitor facility safety; attend staff meetings.
Uphold the positive values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
