Job summary

YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South is seeking a part-time Membership Associate to deliver exceptional service to members, guests, and program participants. Responsibilities include promoting memberships, guiding tours, and maintaining a welcoming lobby area.

You will respond to member needs, handle inquiries, and help create a positive, inclusive YMCA experience. Part-time hours may vary, with sensitivity to Y hours and events.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required within 30 days of hire.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Previous customer service, sales, or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to members, guests, and program participants in-branch and on the phone to help retention.
• Interview or tour prospective members; sell memberships and programs.
• Build relationships with members and help them connect with the YMCA community.
• Resolve membership concerns and inform supervisor of unresolved issues.
• Follow YMCA policies related to member services.
