Job summary

The YMCA Cameron branch in North Carolina is seeking a Part-Time Member Services Representative to deliver outstanding, welcoming service to members and guests, process memberships, register for programs, and maintain accurate accounts while promoting YMCA programs.

Flexible schedule includes evenings and some weekends. You will help keep the lobby organized, answer inquiries, and support member retention with a friendly, patient attitude and strong computer/ POS skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 and ability to work part-time
• Experience in customer service, sales or administrative roles preferred
• Knowledge of computers and point-of-sale systems
• Friendly, outgoing and able to work with diverse people
• First Aid, CPR Pro and AED within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to members, guests, and participants in-branch and by phone
• Sell memberships, update member accounts and register for programs with accuracy
• Build relationships with members and help connect them to the YMCA community
• Maintain a clean, welcoming lobby and assist with light cleaning as needed
• Monitor memberships and resolve issues, reporting to supervisor as necessary
• Attend staff meetings and trainings; audit membership files during shifts
