Job summary

CoastHills Credit Union is seeking a Member Services Officer 1 to support members at a California branch. Under supervision, you will perform basic banking tasks, assist members with their needs, and actively cross-sell products and services.

You will promote a positive image of the Credit Union and may be assigned to other branches as needed. The role emphasizes accuracy in cash handling, timely response to member inquiries, and adherence to policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Relevant customer service and/or cash handling experience in a retail or banking environment.
• Knowledge of branch operational activities and basic understanding of lending practices and policies.
• Completion of New Employee Training Program.

Responsibilities

• Perform banking transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments.
• Explain, promote and cross-sell Credit Union services, products, programs, and investment opportunities.
• Assist members in completing forms and documents and respond to inquiries.
• Balance cash and coin accurately and maintain appropriate cash levels.
• Process money orders, cashier’s checks, and other services.
