Job summary

CoastHills Federal Credit Union in Lompoc, CA is seeking a Member Services Officer 2 to handle membership openings, cash transactions, and cross-sell products while delivering friendly service to members.

Under supervision, you will balance cash, assist in training new staff, and maintain knowledge of credit union policies. This role requires at least one year of customer service or cash handling experience and completion of relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of customer service and/or cash handling experience in a retail or banking environment.
• Completion of core competencies certification within six months of employment.
• Completion of Member Services Officer Level 2 certification.
• Knowledge of branch operations and lending policies.
• Ability to travel, attend, and participate in training and meetings at various locations.

Responsibilities

• Opens new membership and share accounts and closes all accounts.
• Performs basic banking transactions: deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments.
• Prepares and processes transactions by phone and mail.
• Prepares authorized account charges and processes stop payments and wires.
• Promotes and cross-sells Credit Union services and products.
• Balances cash and coin accurately and supports branch training.
