Job summary

A-Line Staffing is seeking a Member Services Representative in Akron, OH. This temporary/seasonal role involves in-person orientation and direct member support for enrollment, benefits, and billing questions within a healthcare setting.

You will document inquiries, maintain confidentiality, and work to meet quality standards while using Amisys and Macess systems, with a Monday–Friday schedule and 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college experience preferred.
• 2+ years of customer service experience in a call-center or administrative setting.
• Medicare/health insurance background strongly preferred.
• Proficient with Windows navigation and documentation workflows.
• Strong written and verbal communication with a calm, service-oriented phone presence.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
• Able to sit for prolonged periods; occasional lifting up to 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized member support (phone, electronic, and occasional in-person) for enrollment, benefits, eligibility, billing, claims, and authorizations.
• Accurately document member inquiries/complaints in the tracking system and route for resolution as needed.
• Meet departmental production and quality standards for written and phone communication.
• Deliver empathetic, professional, customer-first service in every interaction.
• Maintain working knowledge of health insurance practices, rules, and internal systems (e.g., Amisys, Macess).
• Use independent judgment and problem-solving to address member concerns following policies and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of member and business information and comply with all regulatory/company policies.

Member Services Representative Highlights

Pay rate:$19.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)

Work setting: Local Akron/Canton area required; in-person orientation/training ~4 weeks, with possible additional in-office days during the contract

• Able to operate standard equipment (computer + headset); solid typing and basic technical skills (Wi-Fi/VPN/audio controls)
• Must be able to sit for prolonged periods; occasionally lift up to 20 lbs
